In their new publication, PhD student Serena Fraccascia and coauthors investigate the hydro- and bedform dynamics in the natural tidal inlet Knudedyb (Danish Wadden Sea). The study looks at the interaction of hierarchical morphodynamic scales, i.e. how large scale channel morphology and geometry (length scale of kilometers) controls the morphology of channel features and bedforms (length scale of decameters).
