Seafloor landers
The Modular MARUM Seafloor Lander (MSL) is a submersible autonomous device manufactured by Develogic subsea systems GmbH according to our requirements for carbonate system observations. The system has an integrated acoustic modem UAP.COM for communication and data transfer, a PORT.8 multifunctional interface and data logging module, a satellite recovery beacon for transmission of GPS position via IRIDIUM satellite telemetry at surface and an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler Nortek Signature 100. Additionally, the MSL has an integrated depth sensor (Keller PAA-10LHP), a conductivity and temperature sensor (Seabird SBE37-SM,) a pH sensor (AMT) and a pCO2 sensor (Franatech).
