Together with the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Center for Polar and Marine Research (AWI), MARUM operates the PANGAEA information system, in which data from earth system and environmental research is archived and published.

Partner institutions from the fields of biodiversity, ecology and environmental data cooperate in the NFDI4Biodiversity consortium. The consortium is coordinated by MARUM - Center for Marine Environmental Sciences at the University of Bremen.
